Challenges of today's business and leadership landscape
Opening the seminar, Mr. Tran Quoc Hung - Project Director, PACE Institute of Management pointed out the challenges in the business context and leadership capacity that the business leadership community is facing through growth indicators in recent years.
Regarding the overall picture of Vietnam, from 2020 to 2022, Mr. Hung pointed out that the GDP index in 2021 (2.91%) showed a decrease compared to 2020 (2.58%). This makes businesses concern about the slow recovery of the market. However, in 2022, with the forecast that Vietnam's GDP can reach 6-6.5%, the foreign FDI index will grow positively, and the number of newly registered enterprises will increase sharply, economists said that with this advantages, Vietnam completely can achieve the goal.
In terms of predicting the future economic context, the World Bank forecasts that Vietnam will recover in 2022. This recover is predicted to happen in the second quarter of 2023. Green trade will become a prominent business trend and advantage in the coming years around the three principles Health and Safety - Social Security Justice - Social Dialogue
During the seminar, Mr. Hung also emphasized that the leader needs to clearly recognize the challenges in the new era and equip appropriate leadership capacity to adapt to the new era.
